I just bought one for me. This is is still comfortably below the threshold of audibility. Behringer is marketing this as a portable recording interface for musicians, so we want to know how well it works in its intended application. I can’t speak for other iPod flavors.

I was careful that the only variable was the power amp. Due to the way volume controls work, any error in the control itself is axio most obvious at the lowest volume settings.
